From Robert Girard, President of Arcturus Books:
I couldn't [possibly] describe this book properly
[in the room allotted for a review.] Its subject
- the Anomalously Sensitive Person - and its implications
- ". a single mechanism, based on established principles
of neurology, quantum physics and holography, by
which all such (anomalous or paranormal) experiences
can be explained, thus bridging the chasm between
the scientific and the spiritual worldviews" - are
simply too overwhelming to be contained in so small
a space.
In briefest possible terms, this landmark book "investigates
the links between anomalous sensitivity and other
factors such as gender, (left- or right-) handedness,
sexual orientation, personality and vocation." But
it does much more than that, suggesting that there
is a vast underdeveloped resource of genius in the
5 million ASPs in America alone, and that there is
a danger that our educational apparatus and our increasing
dependence on technology alone (forcing the human
mind to be underused, or to suffer atrophy) will result
in the loss of untold human potential at a time when
the human species finds itself at its most perilous
crossroads.
The book is also part of a larger work-in-progress:
the ASP Project. Readers of the book may participate
in it by filling out an innovative questionnaire
(available on request), and having their Holistic
Inventory of Stimulus Sensitivities scored so that
they may determine whether they belong among the
ASPs.
In short, this book is an adventure like none you've
ever before embarked upon. Whether or not you are
an ASP, you cannot but come away from the adventure
knowing much, much more about yourself, your fellow
humans, and about the almost unimaginable realm of
possibilities which pertain to this 3-D world, but
to the possibilities of possibility itself, in a
limitless universe. We are just beginning to discover
the journey that could lie ahead of us, if only we
could give ourselves to making it!
I could not recommend a book more highly.
